“PLUME LIP” for VIOLETTE_FR — concept, creative direction, script, editing
For this campaign we played with the paradoxical qualities that make Plume Lip the perfect lipstick — bold yet effortless, soft yet strong, safe yet risky… It’s “the one” you’ve been looking for all this time.
“LUNE LINER” for VIOLETTE_FR — concept and creative direction
Lune Liner was born from a series of dreams Violette had during her pregnancy about the magic of nature and our connection to that infinite source of inspiration.
We wanted the campaign to feel like a great remembering — of our oneness with the universe, and of our own power and sense of magic. Lune Liner, while inspired by natural phenomena like lightning, aurora borealis, and the moon, also reminds us that we are deeply a part of nature and its magic.
BISOU BALM x BISOUS SKATEBOARDS for VIOLETTE_FR — concept and creative direction
To celebrate the launch of Bisou Balm — an effortless sheer matte lipstick — we collaborated with French skate brand Bisous Skateboards on a capsule collection of merchandise.
It was a long time dream of mine to create a beauty ad inspired by Spike Jonze infamous 2003 skate documentary “Yeah Right!” It has an energy I’ve long wanted to see more of in the beauty space — active, reckless, playful, imperfect… not stuck at a vanity but in action, out in the world. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect opportunity.
“C’EST LA CREAM” for VIOLETTE_FR — product name, creative direction, concept, script, editing
For the launch of Violette’s second skincare product “C’est La Cream” we wanted to tell a story about French people’s relationship to skincare — their approach as well as their infamously high standards. It’s a story about quality, efficacy, and efficiency that ultimately always comes back to “joie de vivre.”
“YEUX PAINT” for VIOLETTE_FR — creative direction and editing
“BISOU BLUSH + BALM” for VIOLETTE_FR— concept and creative direction
Violette’s “Bisou” formulas were inspired by the techniques she learned at art school in Paris.
For this campaign we tell the story of the Neoclassical and Italian Renaissance techniques that informed her product development while creating an environment that reminds us that makeup gives us the amazing opportunity to be both the artist and the muse.
